Shavar shot two movies for the Children's Television Workshop.  "The House of Dies Drear" and his portrayal of the life of young Booker T. Washington.
    House of Dies Drear
Shavar starred opposite Howard Rollins and Clarence Williams III in this 2 hour feature film for television shot in Toronto, Canada.
    Native Son
Shavar played one of Oprah Winfrey's sons in this remake of Richard Wright's novel. The film starred Matt Dillon , Victor Love, and Elizabeth McGovern.
    Designing Women
Shavar was cast at the last minute and had only 2 days to memorize his lines for an episode surrounded around his character. Episode: "Tyrone"
    Growing Pains

Shot 4 episodes: Shavar had a character made for him after producers struggled to cast him for a main new character which was given to Leonardo DiCaprio.

    Family Matters
Shot 20 episodes: Shavar portrayed the mischievous recurring character of "Weasel" for ABC's Family Matters. Yes, that's her..um Shavar on the left!
    On Our Own
