Bio:
Will Owens studied theatre at the
University of Southern California, where he played major roles
in works ranging from Caryl Churchill’s Traps, to Maxim Gorky’s
Summer People. While at USC, Will found his work honored several
times, receiving three back-to-back nominations at the school’s
annual awards ceremony. Owens also studied in London at the
British American Drama Academy, where he trained under the likes
of Fiona Shaw, Alan Rickman, and Mark Wing-Davey, among others.
Upon receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Owens went on to
co-found and preside over the Blue House Theatre Company.
Even in its nascent
stages, the Blue House has been responsible for numerous
well-received productions, including the West Coast Premier of
Arik Martin’s NEED, the LA Premier of Shelia Callaghan’s SCAB,
and its critically acclaimed production of Tom Stoppard’s,
Dogg’s Hamlet, Cahoot’s Macbeth.
