SOUL TO TAKE - Film Synopsis A progressive moving drama about a young woman, Stacie Fergurson, who sets her sights on pursuing a college degree while leaving behind a troubled past and a troubled relationship. Rob, her ex-boyfriend, fresh out of prison catches up with her as she strives to turn over a new leaf. Unable to resist his smooth talking charm, Stacie decides to meet up with him one last time. Unbeknownst to her, Stacies life is literally at stake as two spiritual beings, Nairobi and Azrael battle over her soul. Meanwhile OC and Dane, two young thugs from Robs past, journey into town with only one mission in mind--- to get even with Rob over the murder of OCs brother. Director/Writer/Editor Bio: First time director Shavar Ross is best remembered as a child actor. He played "Dudley", Gary Coleman's best friend on the hit 1980's television show "Diff'rent Strokes". Shavar, now 31, has been an actor for well over 20 years and has starred in many film and television productions such as Magnum P. I., MacGyver, Native Son, Friday The 13th Part 5, Chicago Hope, Designing Women, What's Love Got To Do With It?, Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Family Matters, and many more. Soul to Take a 26-minute digital short film marks his directorial debut.
